Wates’ M&E subsidiary sees turnover top £450m
SES turned in a record set of numbers last year, the firm has said in accounts filed at Companies House.
The M&E specialist said income was up by 55% to a record £464m with pre-tax profit up 60% to £9.3m. It said that its forward order book had doubled to £1.2bn.
The business, which is a subsidiary of Wates, said staff numbers were up to 890 which included more than 100 apprentices.
Executive managing director Rob Clifford said: “Through sustained investment in advanced digital engineering, smart technologies and offsite manufacturing, combined with striving for excellence in delivery, we are positioning ourselves to become the most profitable and sustainable engineering and technology business in UK construction.â€
SES’s ongoing jobs include Edge London Bridge, being built by Mace, and the Life and Mind ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø in Oxford being built by Wates.
