Procure Plus has put contractors on notice to carry out the installation of low and zero carbon technologies in social housing stock.

Framework provider Procure Plus has started the search for contractors for a £1.5bn deal to carry out works to support net zero efforts.

The four-year framework is split into 16 lots and covers the installation and maintenance of a host of low and zero carbon technologies.

New homes with PV

The new framework will run from November 2025 to November 2029

This includes air and ground source heat pumps, solar panels, electric heating, battery storage and full retrofit packages including insulation and ventilation.

Work will be split between assessment, design and coordination services (lots 1–6) and delivery of multi-measure retrofit installations (lots 7–12), with separate lots for regional and national contractors.

There are also national lots to cover the installation of specific technologies including air source heat pumps (lot 13), ground source heat pumps (lot 14), electric heating (lot 15), and PV and battery maintenance (lot 16).

The new framework will run from November 2025 to November 2029 and is intended to lead the growth in the installation of renewable technologies.

A separate supply framework will be launched in the coming weeks, this will work in conjunction with the installation framework.

Firms have until 5pm on 30 June to submit bids. For further information .
