Eurobond鈥檚 Rainspan rainscreen support panels have been used on the refurbishment and extension of the Emersons Green Sainsbury鈥檚 store in Bristol

The system is designed to allow contemporary finishes and an uninterrupted internal surface with minimal secondary steelwork. The architect wanted to use long composite panels, overclad with wood-effect rainscreen cladding. Eurobond鈥檚 panels provided the required insulation, while supporting the load of the rainscreen. Eurobond says Rainspan has non-combustible insulation and a stone wool core made from a high proportion of recycled content, with no ozone depleting substances. At the end of its life it can be recycled.

Rainspan鈥檚 facades include Rainspan Alphaton, a selection of terracotta tiles in a variety of colours and finishes; Rainspan Carea, a ceramic facade offering textures of natural stone and slate; and Rainspan Linear, a metal facade.
