City Campus East, part of Northumbria University's 拢136 million investment in its Newcastle city centre site, is set to be 40% more energy efficient that similar UK buildings.

Around 95% of material from the site of the former Warner Bros' cinema has been recycled. The building is due to open in September and will be home to 9,000 students.
