Whether mankind causes global warming, or not, is a complete red herring.
Fossil fuels, especially petroleum, are a limited resource and it is everyone’s duty to use a little as possible.
Current figures estimate that oil production might reach its peak in as little as 10 years.
And it will simply continue to get more and more scarce from then on.
Remember that the US used to be an oil-producing country, but it used it all up in less than a century.
When there is none left, squabbling over whose fault it was will be the least of our worries.
