This accreditation allows the company to demonstrate compliance with government specifications for legal and sustainable timber sourcing as well as satisfying the requirements of construction industry audits. Modern showers

Shower manufacturer Roman’s new range for 2007 is the ultra-modern Freedom range, which includes walk-in shower enclosures, new options for corners and bath replacement products. The enclosures in the range can be installed straight to floor for wet rooms or to the company’s low-level tray. Products in the range also have the option of integrated water delivery, incorporating the shower valve into the bracing of the enclosure.

Sliding shower doors

Specifiers have the chance to see Eurocare Showers’ new Flexifit adjustable sliding shower doors in an online exhibition at www.dontleavetheoffice.com. The exhibition allows viewers to download technical specifications, view and zoom in on rotating 3D animations of the products and chat on-line to a technical adviser. Kitchen and bedroom manufacturer J&J Ormerod has launched its Colonial Urban kitchen in a cream colourway. The kitchen features a bold colourway worktop and splashback to create a contrast with its cabinets. Kitchen units are available in a variety of heights, and more than 100 handles are available. The kitchen is also available in a beech finish. A range of extras are on offer including shelf lights and halogen downlights.

Docce bellissime

Products available from Italian shower manufacturer Cesana include the award-winning Half Moon system, the Eclisse and Tecnostar. The Half Moon enclosure consists of a curved sheet of 8mm tempered safety glass, a teak mat providing a walk in area, a reinforced acrylic shower tray and an integrated seat available in yellow, white, orange, blue and silver. The enclosure also includes a hand-held shower along with the showerhead, which comes in matching colours to the integrated seat. The Eclisse enclosure has two overlapping disc-shaped clear glass panels, while the Tecnostar enclosure combines silver polished aluminium and 8mm safety glass. The Cesana range is available as part of the new Moods Ultimate Bathrooms Collection from distributor PJH Group.

Combined shower and bath

The Indulgence shower bath from Imperial Bathrooms combines the benefits of a standard size bath with a sizeable shower area. The product is available in two sizes: 1675 by 750mm and 1500 by 750mm. The shower area is in a 850mm wide bow at the shower end of the bath. The bath is supplied without tap holes, enabling taps to be positioned at either end of the bath and is suitable for left or right hand fixing. The shower screen folds inwards against the wall, and has toughened glass and chrome hinges. The manufacturer offers a range of complementary sanitaryware, tapware, furniture and accessories.

Accessible showering

Following two years of design development, Northern Ireland-based manufacturer Easa has launched a design-led accessible showering system called Evo. The system’s features E E include strengthened magnetic closures,

bi-directional 180° rise and fall hinges, toughened glass with polished chrome or polycarbonate with matt chrome. The system carries accredited anti-bacterial properties that can help prevent cross infection including MRSA. The complete package includes tray and waste, complete enclosures, curtain rail, curtain, ceiling support and optional full height pole.

Bathroom products

Shower specialist Hansgrohe has added a number of products to its Hansgrohe, Axor and Pharo brands. The Hansgrohe brand has additions to its Raindance shower family, two ranges join the World of Styles collections and there are new Croma hand showers. There are new products in the Axor Citterio collection, plus Starck electronic basin mixer taps. There are also body sprays to complement the existing Hansgrohe and Axor ranges. Pharo has a selection of shower panels and a new family of whirlpools.

Baths for couples

Kaldewei has introduced two baths, including a design that allows two-person, side by side bathing. The other new bath design has soft elliptical curves. The company has also added to its range of 220 baths and shower trays with new shower trays and it is offering accessory products such as a waterfall bath inlet.

Boiler for larger homes

Boiler manufacturer Vaillant has extended its ecoTEC plus range with the ecoTEC plus 937. Designed for larger homes, the product incorporates a 15l actoSTOR providing 200 litres of water every 10 minutes. The actoSTOR enables the boiler to provide faster filling baths and improved shower performance with a fast flow rate of 15.2l/minute at 65°C. The boiler has a central heating output of 12-28kW and a domestic hot water output of 37kW.

The Utopia Developer Collection of rigid bathroom furniture, available from Arrow Distributors, has grown with the addition of a new doorstyle, a pearwood finish option and a slabtop. The range, which is manufactured by Utopia, is available in reduced depth and width for smaller bathrooms, ensuites and cloakroom. Arrow offers a free design service for developers.
