Former partner Andrew Hyman teams up with Charlotte Bond to launch firm

Former Core Five partner Andrew Hyman has set up a cost consulting business with another ex-Core Five colleague Charlotte Bond.

The pair worked together at the London consultant that was formed in 2012 for several years before Hyman left earlier this year after a decade at the business.

The new firm is called Vibe Quantity Surveyors with Hyman and Bond both co-founders of the company which has moved into an office in Old Street.

Hyman was recruited into Core Five by one of its founding partners, James Clark, with the pair having previously worked together at Davis Langdon which Hyman joined in early 2000.

Hyman, who started his career at Gardiner & Thoebald, remained with Aecom after Davis Langdon was bought by the US giant in 2010 but left five years later to reunite with Clark.

At Core Five he worked on several schemes including the Broadgate redevelopment for British Land as well as jobs for Helical and Great Portland Estates.

Bond spent more than six years at Core Five having joined from Faithful & Gould in 2019. She was made an associate partner last summer before formally leaving earlier this month.

Hyman said the new business, which is working on an office refurbishment scheme in the West End, was looking at London commercial work as well as some hotel and residential schemes. 鈥淭he patch is from Shoreditch to Marble Arch,鈥 he added. 鈥淚 think our business plan is to be small, niche, boutique and fill the gap from the big QS companies.鈥

Yesterday, 黑洞社区 reported that two former T&T directors, Colin Wood and Damien Clifford, had teamed up to form a new London QS called EthosEQ which is targeting the refurbishment and fit out sectors.
