MITA has provided Cat 6 compatible floor boxes to future proof the electrical fit-out of Woodford Group鈥檚 new hq building in Preston.

Woodford Group, one the UK鈥檚 largest brownfield land developers, commissioned the new offices to bring all eight of its divisions together under one roof. The three-storey, high-spec office building needs to provide for the company鈥檚 current IT requirements and anticipate its future needs.

Future flexibility was a key element in the Woodford鈥檚 brief to electrical contractor, Hirst & Danson. 鈥淭he client has invested in an extensive electrical fit-out to ensure the building remains fit for purpose as the company continues to develop,鈥� said design team manager Chris Birrell.

MITA鈥檚 Cat 6 compatible floor boxes address the increasing need for greater bandwidth and data throughput. Increased depth allows a 50 mm minimum bend radius to be maintained.
