The installation of a flexible air conditioning system at a property group’s hq is saving costs and energy.
Torquay-based property developer The Cavanna Group is leading by example with energy efficiency at its own purpose-built headquarters.
One of the regions’s largest independent housebuilders, The Cavanna Group has developed its hq at the town’s Riviera Park. To reduce costs and maximise building efficiency, Hiross Flexible Space System air conditioning from AET has been installed.
The system is part of AET’s Flexible Space Concept, which includes raised access flooring, demountable partitioning and power distribution systems. The system allows future flexibility for office churn, with minimum cost and disruption unlike other air conditioning systems.
Flexible Space was installed across eight zones of the open plan and cellular offices of the two-storey building. Each zone’s floor void is divided into two sections, with floor-based fan assisted terminal units.
Mitie Engineering Services carried out the installation.
