Daikin has added the Essential range of small R-410 non-inverter heat pump splits to its line-up. They are designed for customers requiring comfort on a limited budget.

The wall-mounted indoor unit comes in two sizes, with cooling capacities of 2.5 kW and 3.15 kW and heating capacities of 3.0 kW and 3.85 kW. Coefficients of performance are 2.63 and 3.01 (cooling) and 2.98 and 3.41 (heating), while sound pressure levels vary between 27dBA and 39dBA, depending on model size and operating mode.

User-friendly features include vertical auto swing, with even air distribution and smooth curved wide-angle louvres to enable cooled or warmed air to circulate throughout the room, irrespective of unit location.
