Gordon Brown鈥檚 reshuffle has seen the appointment of Ed Miliband as the secretary of state for the newly-created Department for Energy and Climate Change.
Miliband said: 鈥淭he new department reflects the fact that energy policy and climate change are directly linked.
鈥淢y job is to make sure our policy on climate change is fair for ordinary families and our policy on energy is sustainable for future generations.鈥�
Elsewhere, yet another new construction minister was appointed as Ian Pearson took over the reins from Baroness Vadera, who has moved to the Cabinet Office.
In a spectacular return to the cabinet, Peter Mandelson heads up Pearson鈥檚 ministry as business secretary.
Margaret Beckett is the new housing minister. She replaces Caroline Flint, who moves to the Foreign Office.
