T&T advises KPMG
Turner & Townsend has acted as project manager on KPMG’s pre-purchase of a £260m building from Canary Wharf Developments. It will continue to manage the site. Completion of the new building by CWG is due in April 2009.
Canterbury tales
Canterbury City Council is looking for a QS to work on Marlowe Theatre. It plans to spend £24m on the theatre’s renovation, due for completion in November 2009. The construction value is £14.5m.
Wakemans leads the field
Wakemans was appointed as QS, project manager and planning supervisor for the £29m Centre of Excellence in Rugby at Warwickshire College. ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø starts in 2007.
Designs on campus life
Borders College and Heriot-Watt University in Galashiels are seeking design teams, including QSs and contractors, for a phased redevelopment of the Netherdale campus into a co-located campus. Work starts in February 2007.
Hill’s seeds for success
Hill International has won a deal with Broin Companies to offer management and owner’s representative services during the construction of the £50m Summit Ethanol Plant, Ohio, to be finished in December 2007.
Bucknall Austin wins deal
Bucknall Austin has won a four-year contract to work on the regeneration framework for Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council. It will be supported by architecture firm Halsall Lloyd Partnership.
MDA plays innovative role
MDA Consulting was QS for a new build church development in Potters Bar for the Diocese of Westminster, by Francis Weal & Partners. It won a RIBA East ‘spirit of ingenuity’ award.
