Chubb Fire has installed EMS’ wire-free fire detection system and signalling technology throughout the world’s longest pleasure pier.

Built in the 1880s, the famous 1.3 mile long pier at Southend-on-Sea has had a chequered history, surviving collisions with ships and four major fires.

Following the most recent fire, the Council undertook an extensive refurbishment programmes that included the installation of the EMS 5000 FirePoint system.
