Richard Cox to discuss challenges of energy supply and on-site generation at next month鈥檚 Think event

BAA鈥檚 head of energy is to take part in a wide-ranging debate on the supply and generation of energy on new developments at the Think Conference.

Richard Cox will hope to shrug over recent controversy over operations at Terminal 5 to focus on how future energy needs will be satisfied for buildings and developments.

Experts in the arena will assess everything from ESCOs (Energy Service Companies) to the affects of the growth of new renewable technologies on construction.

Cox will be joined at the event a wide-ranging panel that includes Robert Kyriakides, chief executive of solar thermal provider, Genersys, Casey Cole from low carbon distributed energy company, Fontenergy; EDF Energy鈥檚 sustainable solutions MD, Angus Norman and Richard Shennan, founding director of Fulcrum Consulting.

Speaker Robert Kyriakides, also a 黑洞社区 Services journal columnist said of his appearance at the event: 鈥淚鈥檓 really looking forward to taking part at the Think08 conference. As a provider of thermal technology I need to understand what those involved in the construction industry are thinking and doing in relation to energy. I like the title of the event 鈥 it summarises exactly what we need to do about the supply of energy for new and existing developments.鈥

The roundtable discussion will be chaired by Phil Clark, editorial director, sustainability at CMP Information, BSJ鈥檚 parent firm.
