Labour MP for Crosby and chartered surveyor, Claire Curtis-Thomas, is chair of the new All Party ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Services Engineering Group.
The remit of the group is wide-ranging, taking in diverse areas including rogue trainers, the ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Regulations and challenges posed by the 2012 Olympics.
Core objectives of the group include:
- providing a forum to raise awareness of principal issues with regard to operation, training, diversity and public knowledge;
- encouraging a cohesive political approach to the sector;
- informing decision makers and assisting policy formulation;
- highlighting the contribution that can be made to sustainability and energy efficiency by the building services profession.
